Dovercourt EP on 3024

Tuesday, January 8th, 2013

More news from Martyn… Dropping soon on 3024! This is what the press release says:

Over the last year I’ve traveled to Canada frequently for gigs and got to know the small but healthy electronic music scene there. Cities like Montreal, Vancouver and Toronto have brought forth many established artists over the past few years, such as Egyptrixx, Azari & III, Basic Soul Unit, Jacques Greene, Lunice and Sixtoo, but 2012 has seen a new breed of no-nonsense house and techno producers come up via labels like Turbo Recordings and Naked Lunch.

This “Dovercourt EP” features four very talented producers: Kevin McPhee, Nautiluss, Gingy and fresh face Bruce Trail. Their tracks are a dedication to their hometown of Toronto. Being removed from the house/techno epicentres of Berlin and London, these four are much less interested in what’s fashionable or trendy, and more in bringing us straight to the point, no frails jacking house music. I’ve been playing these four extensively in my DJ sets, and I hope you will too. So out to Toronto, this one’s for you!

Trevino Mix for Electronic Explorations

Wednesday, November 30th, 2011

This exclusive mix for the Electronic Explorations blog by dnb don Marcus Intalex’s non-dnb Trevino alter-ego has been on constant replay for the past few days at Limited Addiction HQ. The man has been responsible for some of the best dnb tunes in the history of the genre, in fact I think he hasn’t even had a mediocre tune out, ever…  (How You Make Me Feel has been a personal favorite ever since it dropped over 10 years ago). As those who got his Chip tune on 3024 will know, it doesn’t matter what genre or tempo, his output is straight up quality regardless. Also look out for his forthcoming material on Micky’s Nakedlunch label. Anyway, I digress… All I wanted to say is you need this mix in your life, seriously. File under whatever you feel fit. Just click the pic above to download.

On a not so unrelated note: keep an eye on the shop in a couple of weeks… can’t say too much as I don’t want to jinx anything but yeah, just keep an eye on the shop…

Triangle Tee sightings

Wednesday, October 26th, 2011

Julio Bashmore & Martyn in various stages of enjoyment, both rocking their Triangle Tees. The t-shirt was sold exclusively at the Limited Addiction party and is most probably my favorite design to date. As I didn’t feel like selling tees all night and decided to party myself,  there’s a very limited supply left. Those will be available to all mortals very soon, I’d suggest you keep an eye on this page and be quick once they land!
