UPDATE…

Monday, July 26th, 2010

Apologies for the lack of updates on the blog lately. Things have been absolutely crazy at the HQ! Decided to go on a little no-phone no-internet trip to the beach for a week only to find my inbox inundated with pre-orders. If you managed to get on the pre-order list, congrats! you should’ve received an e-mail asking for your contact details. Get back to me asap! I will hold all pre-ordered T-shirts until july 31st only! All unsold t-shirts will go up on the shop on august 1st! So even if you missed the pre-orders, you might still have a chance to pick one up in your size.

The thing is, I didn’t even get a chance to get the product shots done… until this morning that is. So here are some detailed pics of the collab tee for those who are into that:

Thanks to Julien @ Laid Back for the collab, Pieter @ POSTRmag for hooking me up with one of the best things in life that do come for free, Sofie, Mum for helping me out and of course everyone who pre-ordered and those who will buy the remaining ones! That’s a given, haha!

LIMITED ADDICTION X LAID BACK

Sunday, June 27th, 2010

It’s official! The first collab tee from yours truly is a fact! As I mentioned a couple of days ago in the news post: Laid Back approached me to join forces and after crossing some t’s and dotting some i’s we’re all set to go! Orders have been sent out and if everything goes according to plan all should be ready to go by the end of july! Expect your usual Limited Addiction quality, AA 2001 100% cotton, sweatshop-free tee complete with sleeve tag, and you know we rise to the occasion so we come correct with an LAxLDBK neckprint, special packaging, a collab goodie bag with buttons and stickers from both camps and POSTRmagazine’s latest issue for free thanks to NAGD! Edition of 100 will be sold through the Limited Addiction shop exclusively and I’m thinking of a package deal if you super-size your order too! This time, and this is a Limited Addiction first too, ladies will be served as well! Girls will get a bright fuchsia cap sleeve tee and the fella’s will receive a tasty chocolate brown!

Looking forward to receive the tees now, get them printed and labeled and process your orders of course!

NEWS FROM THE LIMITED ADDICTION CAMP

Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010

This just in…

WWS Magazine ran a Limited Addiction feature and interview! Thanking Jerry for finding me and running the story! Proper gangsta! Go check it here!

The next release from Limited Addiction will be a collab tee! That’s a first for me! Belgian All School Flavor radio, Laid Back approached me to join forces and being both honored, proud, grateful and incredibly up for it, all I could say, of course, was a wholehearted yes! So keep your eyes peeled for this special edition and in the meantime tune in to Belgium’s number one urban radio station if you haven’t done so yet! 3, 2, 1… now!

Martyn’s 3024 label just released another essential slab of electronica. This time Altered Natives steps up to deliver a percussion-heavy slice of house called The Bitch, flip it over to find Crop Duster, a deep and dirty affair that’s garanteed to rip up dancefloors everywhere. You can get your copy at the ever-amazing Boomkat, who awarded it single of the week, in real and digital format or in the crates of your local quality music dealer. Don’t miss!

Lefto’s radio show takes a well-deserved summer break and to end the season in style the man churned out a corker of a show with the cream of the crop of local talent for a season finale: Uphigh Collective, J To The C & The Bad Mothas, Fresku, Infinitskills… all dropped by and did their funky thing. Big up your bad self, L! Click the player below to listen to the show:

And last but by no means least, POSTRmagazine #6: Funds & Ammo is out now! Another amazing issue, but that’s a given. You can get your copy for free at the usual spots and with every Limited Addiction order!

LAID BACK

Thursday, May 27th, 2010

Been a fan of the Laid Back project (LDBK) for a while now and I thought I’d share it with you.

Taken from their site
“The Laid Back project (aka LDBK) first came together in 2002 as a weekly radio show broadcasted on a local radio station in Brussels. The one-hour long “Laid Back show” currently reaches more than 20 000 listeners every single week through airwaves. However, music is nothing without context, stories, images and therefore, we always try to integrate and share as much content as possible about the music we are playing, presenting it in new ways with pertinent background stories, captivating visuals (especially street art) and the best layout.

Our priority is to connect existing communities around the world and activate them to engage in different projects. Most of our content is exclusive and generated through this unique and ever-growing international network of creative minds (designers, photographers, writers, artists, musicians, DJ’s, software developers, filmmakers and so forth).

We focus on everything urban related be it music, art, lifestyle or whatever topic we feel like to discuss. While music wise, we play everything from Soul, Funk, Jazz, Psych Rock, Disco and Latin music to Hip Hop and much more.

The Laid Back show is currently broadcasted every Wednesday between 10 and 11pm (GMT+1) on FM Brussel (Belgium) and Radio 057 (Croatia). Next to our FM activities, we are also running LBDK an online radio station playing the best in urban music from the last 40 years and hosted on the Radionomy platform.”
